    • I've mentioned it a few times that the black eyes that manifest on gold weapon users involve not just the iris and pupil but also the sclera. So everything's black.[2]

  • You mentioned in your twitter that the MGs are aged-up for this particular iteration of the Megucaverse. Does this mean that the cast has been doing the Magical Girl bit for 4-7 years, or did they merely accept contracts later on? Also: how as the world responded to the sudden presence of large mercenary organizations that command hundreds of super-human girls?[3]
    • The latter. And most of the world are paid to shut up or get mindwiped. Plus the girls move very covertly, never in large groups. [4]

    • Like I revealed in Sayaka Quest, she had a really weak and bullied personality growing up - it took Kaneda a long time to get her out of her shell and start standing up for herself. She realized slowly and painfully that she's not going to get anywhere simply being passive and fearful - so she took all that frustration and anger from being bullied all the time and turned it into a self-sustaining drive of motivation. Unfortunately that ticks over to being a bitch, but Kyoko has done a lot to help her dial it back a bit when it's not needed as much. [7]
  • Decu, just out of curiosity: who is the husband of the Warmaster of the 6th Officio? It is Big Boss, like some anons think? And continuing, who are their childs? Are they Solid and Liquid Snake, or are totally unrelated in MGNQ? To remind you, you have stated that Solid is alive, but Otacon is not
    • It's Big Boss, yes. He's a fit, grizzled veteran that used to lead a really killer PMC that is still competing with Magical Girls. His last target was Leman Russ, but unfortunately love bloomed on the battlefield, which resulted in sextuplets and Big Boss having a bum lower back that gets achy in the cold weather. [8]


  • So if Chiaki Matsuda isn't this timeline's Homura, why do the fragments act like she is?
    • Because she's the anomaly. She's the Nameless One. She's the one outside of the chain of failures, and the one who can bring all this to a crashing halt. At the same time they don't really know if she's going to turn. [9]

    • Sure! Sayaka's secret hobby is to be a horrible troll on bodybuilding forums (but gives really good advice after she has her fun). Souji argues about KerfluffleMallet40K online, Kuma is a proud member of the GGIDF, Noriko talks a lot of shit about the most popular idols of today and NECO trolls everyone [48]


  • Would Chiaki and Midori rather have a little puppy or a little kid running around the house?
    • As long as it can be taught to make Daddy's pancakes or fetch Daddy her whisky, I don't think Chiaki would mind! [49]

    • Warmaster Kharn usually smelled faintly of kerosene, and used citrus-scented shampoo. Now she smells mostly of apples.
    • Midori smells of kiwi from her kiwi-scented shampoo. Sometimes, she smells of printer ink.
    • Chiaki smells like alcohol and cigarettes. Sometimes, she smells of all the baths she didn't take. [57]

    • Hahaha! Well, maybe a little bit, but Eversors are pretty tough. That's why most of any Officios are Eversors. [65]


  • Given Chiaki's popularity in the 9th, are there any MGs who have attempted to mimic her mannerisms or clothing styles? Were there any trends started by Chiaki?
    • Some Magical Girls tried out the cigarettes, whiskey and painkillers thing, but found that smelling like a spit-encrusted ashtray in some hole-in-the-wall bar on the wrong side of town wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
    • There was also a lot of broken wrists from people trying to one-hand a Desert Eagle.[66]

    • The Incubators discovered modern business management and declared it as inherently superior to their counter-intuitive recruitment policies. This discovery enabled a paradigm shift and enacted a series of positive forward-thinking policy changes that focused on increasing recruitment numbers and leveraging key competencies to ensure an up-trend of revenue accumulation, resource appropriation and operations establishment.     • Sayaka is the biggest health nut. She always eats clean unless it's a special occasion. She also drinks preworkout like it's water. [72]

    • Pretty much that. He reminds everyone not to do it, but turns a blind eye to the stuff he sees. It's more 'just don't exchange spit in public where everyone can see' etc. [75]


  • Malal! What lead to the conception of the tradition that Culexuses must share a precognition of a friend's death before their skull can be painted on their helmet? Was it something you came up with? Who painted the skull on your helmet?
    • "It was something I learned from the Seventh's Spiritual Liege. People may see it as dark and morbid but I think it's a good exercise to be at peace with the impermanence of life, and the acceptance of the fact that we're all going to die someday. No other Magical Girl understands those two things better than a Culexus does. And marking your helmet with a skull is symbolic - you don't dread the knowledge that you've seen, you're wearing it as armor. You've accepted it, you've made peace with it, and no one can use it against you.
    • I had Xiaomei paint the skull for me, that's why it looks so good. She's actually quite good with a paintbrush, and she makes for great conversation even if she gets a bit too naggy at times.

    • She still wished to heal Kamijou, but worded a bit differently. [80]


  • Does Chiaki have any talent for Archery? Actually, are there any Bow or Crossbow/Arbalest foscused Vindicares running about or are they considered dated?
    • She does, actually! It just hasn't come up yet, but Chiaki's character sheet lists her as a very competent archer. And yes, there are those kinds of Vindicares running about! Dildoes was literally Hommando at her prime, she had the explosive-tipped arrows and everything. [81]


  • If someone earnestly confessed their love to Malal how would she react?
    • "Ptchhh. Nothing personnel, kid." [82]


  • Malal, how do you type on your tablet with your Hardsuit Gloves on?
    • "Static-conductive pads on the fingertip pads. Anon do I have to point everything out myself?" [83]


  • Do your MGNQ characters have a battlecry? Something they yell before they throw themselves into the thick of things?
    • Chiaki's pretty silent whenever she goes into things, although you'll probably hear her swear or curse or grumble from time to time.
    • Sayaka introduces herself, her rank and her Officio in a clear, crisp voice, before telling the enemy to prepare themselves for her attack.
    • Kyoko usually laughs and, while grinning widely, says something akin to 'SHOW ME A GOOD TIME, _____ !'
    • Malal used to troll the Magical Girls trying to kill her by filling their heads with lewd stuff. It usually works to stun them long enough for her to brain them with her crowbar. Towards the end of her career she switched to showing them visions of their death. It rarely worked.
    • Mami goes into battle in absolute, unflinching silence.
    • And we all know what Kharn's battlecry is. [84]

    • Yes, Golden Weapons have that kind of ability where they can cause permanent wounds that just won't regenerate. Kyoko lost her eye to a magic-enhanced katana, but it wasn't the golden katana itself. [90]

The combination of leather, padding and studs offer the highest amount of both protection and flexibility that a Culexus needs in her day-to-day. The magnetic hardpoints at the back and wrists and legs, along with the multitude of pockets all over, allow for a maximum amount of on-suit storage for tools and equipment without having to rely on your inventory. The helmet, again, not only gives the Culexus protection against projectiles and bladed weapons - or blunt force trauma in case you're up against someone stupid - but also grants them an up-to-date HUD display with visual filters ranging from night vision to infrared and echolocation. Add everything up and you've got a Culexus who won't die on the first day of field duty, much less turn to ash if she suddenly panics and loses focus."

    • They retain their original names, with the exception of Bobcut. Her real name is Ecstasy Darks! [104]

    • Time management! There's an awful lot you can do when you manage your time correctly. Also sleeping for only three to four hours every day. [108]


  • Did Kyousuke and Kyouko meet independently of Sayaka? It's surprising how well they seem to get along.

    • Kyoko: Pretty much a sucker for this kind of thing, she'll sign stuff forever and pose for pictures. Free hugs too, until Sayaka drags her away.

    • I'm not so sure, but hypothetically:
    • Chiaki: Gundam kits, probably, the small HGUC ones. She'd put them together in her office as a sort of therapeutic thing, like cleaning guns. Snipping each part off a sprue, checking the instructions regularly, and then carefully sanding off the flash. She'd keep each one in a locked drawer in her desk.
    • Malal: Godzilla/kaijuu vinyls, I think she's one of those kids who absolutely loved the idea of huge monsters wrecking cities but ultimately are good guys. Probably gets a bit snobbish about the hobby too, and will beat up anyone who says they're just rubbery chew toys for dogs. Absolutely gets finicky with tags.
    • Kharn: Schleich dog statuettes/figurines. Animals hate Kharn, and dogs just go berserk when she's around, but she really wants one. She probably collects the small figurines (1:18 scale) and has names for every one of them.

    • Kharn's greatest weakness is that she's still the same scared girl she was before Varrigan and she knows it. Her greatest strength comes from knowing that and willingly burying it with the personality she has now, in order to become the apex predator she is. [177]

Yes, sometimes her accent is thick enough to be indecipherable but when you have this classy Southern Belle lady do all the animal noises to 'Where's MAH Cow' is pretty damn endearing and hypnotizing. If, for example, she had to deal with the Seventeenth, despite them suddenly having a distinct dislike of her (something she couldn't really figure out), she'd deal with them politely, directly, without any nonsense about tea parties or cuddling or hugs. There would be no need to, because they're fine on their own and expect efficiency instead.
    • Mami is savvy enough to know which approach goes best with who. Maybe there are a few who do honestly treat her with hostility or distrust, and while she'd like to change that relationship, she's also savvy enough to take a step back and say 'Alright, if you'd rather deal with another representative of my Officio, then I'll have someone sent over'. And that would be that. She'd probably feel sad or glum about it, but in the end she just tries to be decent to everyone. Which is the point. [264]

If you've ever heard of the expression where you may think you're the best, but down the road, someone stronger and more talented is training themselves up to smash you into the ground?
