Character History

Squad Hiryu consists of five members: Ayumu Kasuga, Tokiko, Kagura, Ayako and one other member. They are equipped and optimized for surveillance and marksmanship.

Kirishima & Concert

Warmaster Chiaki Matsuda requests backup for her mission to protect Ruri Kirishima. Vindicare squad Hiryu is chosen to patrol the area and to keep overwatch. They are sent alongside Callidus Rank Leader Enishi Karasawa, who assumes direct command over the squad whenever Chiaki has no direct orders. Other than security duty, Enishi makes them run small errands to curry favor with the Warmaster.

On the day of Ruri's concert, they keep watch over the stadium, but Ayumu is taken out by a surprise attack. Lucius takes her soul gem to blackmail Chiaki, but the Warmaster gets it back safely when she fights the hostile magical girl. During the encounter, squad Hiryu cooperates with the mundane security forces to apprehend the suicide bombers Lucius placed in the stadium.

Squad Hiryu is summoned to assist Warmaster Matsuda in guarding the idol Ruri Kirishima during her stay in Mitakihara. Under the command of Callidus Rank Leader Karasawa, they introduce themselves to the Warmaster and start patrolling the hotel the idol stays in.

Enishi sends Kagura to fetch iced coffee for the Warmaster, which she completes in a remarkably short time.

During her patrol, Ayumu discovers the remains of an intruder: a mobile phone and a calling card left behind by an amateur journalist going by the handle NECO.

At the concert in Mitakihara Stadium, squad Hiryu surveys the area for any suspicious activity. They discover the Yakuza Yoshitaka Mine and a group of company executives leaving the area and, following the Warmaster's orders, Ayumu disables their car.

Soon after she is attacked by Lucius group. She manages to take out one enemy, but is defeated by Lucius, her soul gem taken away to blackmail the Warmaster.

Lucius demands to meet the Warmaster in single combat and threatens to have her followers self-destruct their soul gems if she refuses or tries to evacuate the stadium. Chiaki orders squad Hiryu to stand down until the fight starts and to resume their duty once Lucius us distracted. They, alongside Enishi and the regular security detail, are tasked with discovering and disabling any magical girl activity in the stadium to prevent any attempts at suicide bombing.

Lucius keeps using Ayumu's soul gem to lead Chiaki on, playing around with it while explaining that subordinates are expendable and that trying to save them is foolish. At the start of her fight, she throws the gem past Chiaki as a distraction, and the Warmaster dives after it, utilizing her time stop ability to safely catch the precious bauble.

During the fight between the Warmaster and Lucius, Squad Hiryu takes out multiple enemy magical girls, although two manage to join their leader. In the end, all of the suicide bombers are apprehended. The squad continues to watch over their Warmaster after she defeats Lucius in case of further opposition and joins Enishi in guarding Ruri soon after.

After the concert and the fight between Chiaki and a group of hostile magical girls, 2020 Productions decides to relocate Ruri ahead of time. So the morning after the concert, the group heads to the airport for an early flight. While Kyosuke's men secure the inside and later the tarmac, Squad Hiryu continue to give overwatch until Ruri's plane safely lifts off.
