  • I've mentioned it a few times that the black eyes that manifest on gold weapon users involve not just the iris and pupil but also the sclera. So everything's black.[2]

• You mentioned in your twitter that the MGs are aged-up for this particular iteration of the Megucaverse. Does this mean that the cast has been doing the Magical Girl bit for 4-7 years, or did they merely accept contracts later on? Also: how as the world responded to the sudden presence of large mercenary organizations that command hundreds of super-human girls?[3]
  • The latter. And most of the world are paid to shut up or get mindwiped. Plus the girls move very covertly, never in large groups. [4]

• What importance Malals blood have? Madaraki wanted it bad, but the power of a magical girl comes from her wish and soul, making the blood "normal". What's the trick?

  • Like I revealed in Sayaka Quest, she had a really weak and bullied personality growing up - it took Kaneda a long time to get her out of her shell and start standing up for herself. She realized slowly and painfully that she's not going to get anywhere simply being passive and fearful - so she took all that frustration and anger from being bullied all the time and turned it into a self-sustaining drive of motivation. Unfortunately that ticks over to being a bitch, but Kyoko has done a lot to help her dial it back a bit when it's not needed as much. [6]

• Decu, just out of curiosity: who is the husband of the Warmaster of the 6th Officio? It is Big Boss, like some anons think? And continuing, who are their childs? Are they Solid and Liquid Snake, or are totally unrelated in MGNQ? To remind you, you have stated that Solid is alive, but Otacon is not
  • It's Big Boss, yes. He's a fit, grizzled veteran that used to lead a really killer PMC that is still competing with Magical Girls. His last target was Leman Russ, but unfortunately love bloomed on the battlefield, which resulted in sextuplets and Big Boss having a bum lower back that gets achy in the cold weather. [7]

• So if Chiaki Matsuda isn't this timeline's Homura, why do the fragments act like she is?
  • Because she's the anomaly. She's the Nameless One. She's the one outside of the chain of failures, and the one who can bring all this to a crashing halt. At the same time they don't really know if she's going to turn. [8]

  • She just likes cuddly girls, but I think it's how she imprinted a lot on Mami that's influencing her choices. [9]

  • As long as it can be taught to make Daddy's pancakes or fetch Daddy her whisky, I don't think Chiaki would mind! [48]

  • Warmaster Kharn usually smelled faintly of kerosene, and used citrus-scented shampoo. Now she smells mostly of apples.

  • Some Magical Girls tried out the cigarettes, whiskey and painkillers thing, but found that smelling like a spit-encrusted ashtray in some hole-in-the-wall bar on the wrong side of town wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

  • Pretty much that. He reminds everyone not to do it, but turns a blind eye to the stuff he sees. It's more 'just don't exchange spit in public where everyone can see' etc. [74]

• Malal! What lead to the conception of the tradition that Culexuses must share a precognition of a friend's death before their skull can be painted on their helmet? Was it something you came up with? Who painted the skull on your helmet?
  • "It was something I learned from the Seventh's Spiritual Liege. People may see it as dark and morbid but I think it's a good exercise to be at peace with the impermanence of life, and the acceptance of the fact that we're all going to die someday. No other Magical Girl understands those two things better than a Culexus does. And marking your helmet with a skull is symbolic - you don't dread the knowledge that you've seen, you're wearing it as armor. You've accepted it, you've made peace with it, and no one can use it against you.
  • I had Xiaomei paint the skull for me, that's why it looks so good. She's actually quite good with a paintbrush, and she makes for great conversation even if she gets a bit too naggy at times.

  • She does, actually! It just hasn't come up yet, but Chiaki's character sheet lists her as a very competent archer. And yes, there are those kinds of Vindicares running about! Dildoes was literally Hommando at her prime, she had the explosive-tipped arrows and everything. [80]

• Malal, how do you type on your tablet with your Hardsuit Gloves on?

• Do your MGNQ characters have a battlecry? Something they yell before they throw themselves into the thick of things?
  • Chiaki's pretty silent whenever she goes into things, although you'll probably hear her swear or curse or grumble from time to time.
  • Sayaka introduces herself, her rank and her Officio in a clear, crisp voice, before telling the enemy to prepare themselves for her attack.
  • Kyoko usually laughs and, while grinning widely, says something akin to 'SHOW ME A GOOD TIME, _____ !'
  • Malal used to troll the Magical Girls trying to kill her by filling their heads with lewd stuff. It usually works to stun them long enough for her to brain them with her crowbar. Towards the end of her career she switched to showing them visions of their death. It rarely worked.

  • Yes, Golden Weapons have that kind of ability where they can cause permanent wounds that just won't regenerate. Kyoko lost her eye to a magic-enhanced katana, but it wasn't the golden katana itself. [89]
