"Witch of Harvest. Her nature is patient. As someone who knows their place without a shadow of doubt,
she is unconstrained by ideas of freedom. That said, she is glad to help."
Libuna Also Known As... the prophet witch First Appearance Riddle of Witch Flesh Type Witch of Harvest Nature Patient Familiar Přemysl Rank Beta Weapon Scythe, hair Date of Birth Ancient Summary
Libuna is a Witch that is, as many others, a headache for the Twelfth's Vanus. She has been appearing since as long ago as anyone remembers. As she seems to have future sight herself, capturing or even defeating her seems to be impossible unless she wills an encounter. She's rarely seen feeding on humans, and cannot ever be prevented from doing so in time, either way. She doesn't go out of her way to hurt Magical Girls, though there are records of combat with her in the past. Today, hunting her is forbidden.
While her appearances may seem random, and the Witch's mind would be inaccessible to a mortal Magical Girl, she is clearly following some sort of a plan, as other people who see future should be able to understand. Trying to decipher her acts is a matter of great importance in the Twelfth. One of the largest mysteries is that, for being so ancient, she seems to be a relatively weak specimen beyond her impeccable ability to stay out of harm's way. It is generally agreed that whatever Magical Girl Libuna used to be must have been incredibly weak and only got to a level of a Beta through sheer age.
Since the First Incubator must have had contracted her, only he would know the truth.
She is at home in continental Europe. It's said that she sometimes leaves messages, and seeing her familiar in a different barrier is a sign that you are on the right track.
Description
- On the first glance, looks like a lamp shade with a black bean on top for the head, full of dense, blond hair. The hair is used as a set of appendages, and she sometimes holds a scythe in it. Upon closer inspection, it seems the head of hair is the actual body, and she only "wears" the lamp. She also has a circular 'halo' patterned with stars and a meandered pattern above her head.
- Her Barrier is a middle-ages castle dungeon, though only very few have seen it. It seems to have a theme of illumination, with torches aplenty. The center of the barrier is a courtyard with a perfect starry sky that has constellations drawn out on it.
- Her familiars are rather cute, simplified skeletons with moth wings. They themselves wield farming implements, and often torches.

Trivia
- Libuna is a rather archaic slavic name. It's also the name of a certain genus of moths.
- Together with the name of her familiars, it clearly references the fabled prophetess, who claimed that Prague would become a city the glory of which would touch the stars.
