Diary entries
The Diary App is a program on Chiaki's cellphone. Its entries are password-locked and new opportunities to unlock new entries appear as time (and plot) progresses.
A curious thing about the app is that it appeared even after Chiaki's original phone was destroyed by Kirika during their initial confrontation. The App was likely coded by Malal before her death but the entries themselves may have been written by various people. Each time the app is unlocked, it will allow two 5-letter password attempts before locking itself again.

[To call Faust a Witch in any sense of the term is laughable, and speaks of complete and despicable ignorance. She is not simply a Witch, not anymore, she has become a concept, something permanent, something that cannot be destroyed. Well, theoretically, in a way, she can be destroyed - but it'll take an awful lot more than that.]

[You're not the most social type around, and Wendy isn't either, so it was hilarious to find out that both of you clicked just like that. I thought you'd never give anyone else except Mami the time of day, but you did, and her, of all people. Arguably the most haunted, the most broken soul in all of the Eighth, the White Rabbit. Kindred spirits? Probably. Even Kyoko got jealous when we told her about it.]
[...Just be careful around her, that's all I'm asking. I tried to find out just what she's about, but...there's just some people you can't read no matter what you do. She seems to really like you, though, for what it's worth, and the same could easily said vice versa. But Santa Destroy breeds broken souls - and we're not sure if they're worthy of being trusted just yet.]
